How long does it take to prepare a report?
Depending on the brand and type of report, it takes from 7-10 minutes to several hours to prepare a report. So BMW, Mercedes, VAG, Peugeot Citroen, Kia and some other brands are unloaded automatically in 5-10 minutes. Due to vendor restrictions, some brands are uploaded exclusively manually; such requests are usually processed within 1 hour. The same applies to car service history reports. Separately, we note that the ChinaVehicle report is uploaded by our Chinese partners and can take up to 24 hours to complete its preparation.
I made a request, but there is no report for a long time, how can I find out the reason?
As a rule, in 90% of cases this is due to errors when entering the VIN, and in such a case we need time to manually check whether such a VIN actually exists. We carry out manual checks during business hours from 9-23 Moscow time. So, if a mistake is made when entering the VIN, this can significantly increase the response time. Sometimes unscrupulous sellers deliberately indicate an incorrect VIN in the ad, or a car may have two VINs (for example, Korean and Kazakhstan) and the car must be identified using the original VIN number of the manufacturer. In any case, you can contact support through the message button on the website and clarify all your questions. Support hours are from 9am to 11pm Moscow time.
In what language are reports provided?
If Russian is available, then reports are provided in it by default. Otherwise in English. If you need to duplicate the report in another language, just write to our support, we will provide the report in another language.
What if there is no data for my request, what about a refund?
If for some reason there is no data at your request, or it is unavailable, or the VIN number is indicated with an error, by default we return the funds to the personal account in your personal account on the website. If you want to issue a refund to the card, just write to us through the contact support button or email admin@vin-spec.ru and we will issue a refund to the card.
Problem with payment. The payment does not go through, I cannot pay from another country.
We have provided almost all payment methods, including payment by foreign cards. But under conditions of restrictions and sanctions, foreign payments do not always go through. In case of any problem with payments, write to support on the website, or in Telegram or Whatsapp, we are in touch regardless of restrictions on instant messengers.
From which countries can cars be checked?
For the configuration report, the country of manufacture of the car is not important; the configuration is unloaded for any country. Service history reports are broken down by region: USA, Canada, Europe, China, Korea.
My car brand is not in the list of brands for the equipment report or dealer history.
For the configuration report: if your car is not in the list, then it is impossible to upload the configuration for this brand (for example, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, all Chinese brands). Dealer reports are also not available for all brands. For other reports, absolutely all brands are available. To understand what reports are available, first select the car brand and all available reports will be listed.

I need a car’s production date, where can I find it, what report should I order?
The exact production date is always contained in the picking report. Attention: for Mercedes, the production date contained in the configuration report does not always coincide with the exact production date. For customs, we have a separate “Date of Manufacture” report for Mercedes. This applies exclusively to one brand - Mercedes. For all other brands, the exact date is the date indicated in the picking report.
Is it possible to find out the engine number?
We do not have a separate service for this, but the engine number is often contained in the configuration report itself. View sample reports. For BMW, unit numbers are contained in the dealer history report - BMW AIR.
